Get the Basics Right
There’s no strict formula for writing a CV, but there are essential sections you should include: personal and contact details, education and qualifications, work history, relevant skills, personal interests, and references. Tailoring these sections to the job you’re applying for is key to making your CV stand out.
Presentation is Crucial
A well-presented CV is clean, clearly structured, and printed on quality paper. Avoid folding or crumpling your CV by using an A4 envelope. Remember that the recruiter’s eye naturally falls on the upper middle section of the first page, so place your most important information there.
Keep It to Two Pages
A good CV is concise, providing all necessary information without going overboard. Stick to a maximum of two pages. Employers receive numerous CVs and rarely read every word, so make sure you only include what’s most relevant to the role, making your CV easier to review.
